Crossfit

Crossfit is a relatively new exercise phenomenon, and it's taking hold on both coasts, and, oddly enough, in Wisconsin, Texas, and Oklahoma. I've been aware of it for, oh, about 3 days now.

It's kicking my ass.

Of course, I was long overdue for some ass-whoopin', and it feels good. In a painful sort of way. As the t-shirt says "It doesn't have to be fun to be fun." I am sorer from these tiny little, only-takes-20-minutes workouts than I think I've ever been from a 90 minute free weight session.

GULP. New workout posted.

A new workout gets posted at about 9pm PST... Looks like tomorrow I'm going to be figuring out how to do the following:

Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
15 Double-unders
15 Burpees
15 Box Jump
15 ft Rope climb, 1 ascent

Now I have to go figure out what a "double under" is, whether I can remember how to do a burpee, where I can find a box to jump on (c'mere Megan... :) ), and a 15 foot rope to climb. Might be difficult.

UPDATE: I just learned what a double under is. Crap, now I have to go buy a jump rope. Still have no idea where I'm going to find a rope to climb, either. Will somebody please start a Crossfit gym in the east metro (preferably actually *in* Stillwater)?
